Take Back Santa Cruz™ is a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer, grass roots, community organization focused on creating awareness and working together to build a better, safer and cleaner Santa Cruz County.

We protect and advocate for seniors, women, children and all those most vulnerable in our community. Our goal is to engage and work with our community to take back Santa Cruz to a place where we can all live, work and play with mutual respect and kindness.

We approach our mission in 3 ways - advocacy, awareness, action.

We support and welcome all individuals, groups, public agencies and businesses who believe in our goal of creating a safer and cleaner Santa Cruz.

We create awareness in our community using information, education and evidence based solutions to create best practices. We use social media outreach, solution oriented investigative research and reporting, community forums and small groups to encourage public collaboration to solve community issues.

We encourage environmental stewardship to create a sustainable, healthy and beautiful natural environment. We support our community in preserving and cleaning our parks, greenbelts, beaches and waterways.

We support our community's public safety agencies. We are committed to enhancing public safety and increasing our community’s sense of security and the quality of life in our county.

We are a diverse community; we realize one size doesn't fit all when it comes to addressing the various issues in our community. We provide a result based platform to engage and encourage everyone in our community to solve problems together, for a better quality of life in Santa Cruz County.
