Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is the first in the state to fully implement the 21st Century Policing to bring positive change to our communities by updating our community policing model to improve our abilities to protect the public.
The program focuses on six pillars:
- Building trust and legitimacy,
- policy and oversight,
- technology and social media,
- community policing and crime reduction,
- training and education and officer wellness and safety.
