Advocating for a Safe and Clean Santa Cruz
COME CELEBRATE with TBSC!!
Ride your bike to the event or park at the City Corp Yard (corner of River Street and Golf Club Drive) and walk (15 minutes) to the trailhead.
Join us as we celebrate the opening of the first multi-use trail to open in Santa Cruz since 1999! Named in honor of trail advocate and equestrian Emma McCrary, this 1.5 mile single-track trail is a testament to the spirit of community participation, cooperation and hard work. Built by over 300 volunteers contributing more than 3,400 hours under the direction of Parks and Recreation and trail expert Drew Perkins, with $30,000 in funding provided by Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz and the local bike industry, this multi-use trail is designed to delight hikers, bikers and equestrians; and to enhance public access and enjoyment of Pogonip. Meet the volunteers, sponsors and members of the McCrary family who made the trail possible and be the first to enjoy it on an interpretive ride. Refreshments will be served.
