City Hall to You – Downtown, the Beach Area and Harvey West neighborhoods

The City of Santa Cruz welcomes all residents and business owners of Downtown, the Beach Area and Harvey West neighborhoods to City Hall to YOU community forum on Wednesday, June 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Museum of Art and History, 705 Front Street. Attendees will have an opportunity to interact with City leaders and staff on a variety of topics specific to their neighborhood. The format, designed for the public to voice concerns and ask questions, includes a presentation by City leaders and City department booth displays.

The forum is the second in a quarterly series created by the City Council to enhance community connectedness and government transparency. Multiple departments will host booths regarding projects and information relevant to the Downtown/Beach Area/Harvey West neighborhoods including: Parks and Recreation, Planning, Fire, Economic Development, Public Works, Police, Water and Library.  A question and answer period will follow speeches by Vice Mayor Cynthia Chase and department heads.

City Hall to YOU focuses on City quadrants, one at a time. The series kicked-off with Eastside City Hall to YOU, which drew about 200 attendees. Subsequent City Hall to YOU forums are scheduled for the Westside/Upper Westside on Aug. 31 and Upper Eastside/Ocean Street on December 7.
